Alexandra Volatile🔥 as Residents Aim to Close⛔ the N3 Highway

One of South Africa's oldest townships, Alexandra near Sandton, Johannesburg, was shut down completely following protests on Wednesday morning.

The situation in Alexandra remains volatile as protesters demand that City of Johannesburg Mayor Herman Mashaba address them.

The protesting crowd is marching down London Road towards the N3 freeway and have threatened to shut down the N3 highway.

Police and the JMPD have deployed a large contingent of officers to the area.
